Abstract

This article explores current legal problems related to legislative work in the field of rural development. An analysis is offered of European regulations concerning the shaping of financial aid in the new perspective of the Common Agricultural Policy for 2023–2027. A preliminary evaluation is carried out of the draft strategic plans for rural development and an attempt is made to assess the advantages and disadvantages of the adopted legal solutions enabling the EU Member States to shape the aid mechanisms. The current issues of direct payments, including eco-schemas or agricultural innovation, are indicated. Issues related to the definition of an active farmer are also raised.
