Abstract

In recent years numerous reports have been published on the edition of audiobooks that reveal that it is a sector in constant expansion, although with a lower growth in the case of Spain. However, there are few reports that offer disaggregated data for children’s and youth people’s literature. This work explores the world of children’s and young people’s audiobooks in Spain, analyzing their presence in the lending platforms of public libraries and in commercial platforms. Likewise, a categorization of children’s and young people’s audio books is included according to their format, narration and content, stating the benefits that their use brings to children.
