Abstract

The development of decision-making research in Education is an acknowledged fact. Whether orders come from the Ministry of Education, local authorities or assocations, the "market" of such studies is an unavoidable datum of the activity of reasearch labs. In this context the social use of scientific methods poses the question of political decision, whoever the order giver may be : the Ministry, any local government, an association, or local public teaching authority. Our viewpoint is that the explicit or implicit building up of the decision subject in organisations is an important determining factor as much for expertise practices as for their theorisation. Which concepts are to be retained and used : an individual decision maker ? a collective one ? an agent ? an actor ? a local subject ? This question is examined within the context of Help to political decision-making.
