Abstract

In recent years, studies on 5th Generation (5G) systems have come to the forefront in wireless communication technology. the studies gained great speed with the determination of the use of mm-wave spectra (30-300GHz) of 5G technology. One of the main areas of these studies is antenna designs for 5G technology. In this study, 1x2 microstrip patch antenna array design based on Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) substrate based on 28GHz frequency was designed and simulated for performance in 5G applications. The Ultralam 3850 material with LCP based was used for the designed antenna. The designed patch array antenna has 27.5 - 28.65 GHz bandwidth, -23.92 dB return loss and 9.5 dB gain
