Abstract

Models of central power fields with quadratic dynamics suggested by Rene Descartes are studied. These examples gradually lead the reader to the understanding of base notions of differen-tial algebraic-geometric theory of Brahe-Descartes-Wotton including central fields whose dynamics is formed by planar affine algebraic curves of degree not exceeding N (N = 1, 2, 3,...).
