Abstract

We established the laws of changes in the phase composition of surface layers in the course of saturation of titanium from graphite in static argon atmosphere and dynamic vacuum (1.3–133.3 Pa) at 950–1100°C. We showed that the composition of the oxycarbide phase depends on the saturation temperature and oxygen partial pressure in the gaseous oxygen-containing environment.
