Abstract

Black Americans are dying more frequently of Multiple Myeloma and less likely to receive the proper standard of care. The goal of this thesis is to formulate a Health Communication Intervention plan to increase access to clinical trials, financial aid, emotional support programs, and information in STEM Cell transplants through the resources the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has to offer. By providing an fresh webpage, storytelling campaign, digital support group, opinion editorial campaign and a webinar series, this intervention will reach patients, caregivers, and providers to increase engagement and build advocacy.
