Abstract
The five existential questions posed by Pope Francis in Laudato si' are addressed. In a philosophical and theological fashion, he goes deeper into the importance of intergenerational responsibility. To answer these questions, the concepts of house, sister, mother, and common are analyzed in relation to ecology. Emphasis is put on the human being submerged in an individualistic and utilitarian society, which wonders more about the pragmatic and useful than the existential and, when this occurs, both society and the planet are affected. The final reflection poses the importance of anthropology which ponders and is responsible for generations living harmoniously with the common house.
