Abstract
In this paper, magnetic hysteresis loop shifts were observed in amorphous-based hematite spin glass. The loop-shift values were found to be much higher than the values for any reported spin-glass system in equivalent test conditions. Also, these values were dependent on the temperatures and external-field ranges, which is indicative of the coexisted exchange bias effect (induced by the exchange coupling between ferromagnetic nanocrystals and spin glass matrix at low temperatures) and minor loops effect (derived from the unsaturated loop measurements).
