Abstract

A healthy 17-year-old girl with Tanner V breast development and Tanner II pubic hair growth was examined for primary amenorrhea. She had a vaginal depth of 5 cm and no palpable uterus on rectal examination. Luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone values were 19 and 6.5 mIU/mL, respectively; a total testosterone level was 634.0 ng/dL. The patient’s karyotype was determined to be 46,XY. Magnetic resonance imaging confirmed the absence of a uterus and the presence of undescended testes.
