Abstract
Starting in January 2015 establishments which sell animals in Zaragoza will not be permitted to exhibit the animals in store fronts, in compliance with the new municipal ordinance on animals approved by the City Government, and which has been in force since January 2014. The present commentary offers an analysis of this ban in the Ordinance, as well as the regulation of this aspect in the 17 animal protection laws in force in the Autonomous Communities in order to end with some brief conclusions on the issue.

Además de a las condiciones técnicas e higiénico-sanitarias, la Ordenanza se refiere expresamente a que los espacios disponibles en las jaulas o habitáculos en los que se instalen los animales “deberán ser espacios que permitan garantizar su bienestar”
