Abstract

Concept formation is a complex process that takes place in correspondence with the cultural-approach of Lev S. Vigotsky, being one of essential components of process of creation and development of knowledge. From pedagogy, the formation of concepts constitutes a fundamental support within the framework of the interactive teaching-learning process in the educational field to form in the student and objective reflection of reality and create conditions for the acquisition of new knowledge, highlighting the importance of the teacher in the direction of this pedagogical activity. However, in the practice, theoretical and methodological deficiencies are observed by teachers in the direction of process of concept formation in student learning. The need is deduced for teachers who teach subjects that contribute to the other discipline in Higher Medical Education, for more comprehensive understanding of the complex process of concept formation its logical-gnoselogical and didactic foundations. The purpose of de following work is to offer teachers some theoretical tools to adequately develop the concept formation process in the teaching-learning process and contribute to improving their professional pedagogical performance.
