Abstract
The paper examines the historical and provocative discourse used by Friar Dominico Antonio de Remesal through its general historical documents about the West Indies and other individuals form the government of Chiapas and Guatemala, the implications and effects within a sealed order that caused the disapproval of his chronicle who finally was condemned by the Holy Office of the Inquisition.
