Abstract
The study argues that there is direct connection between journalism and the phenomena of political violence which is social phenomena and has social implications. Due to unclear and the Blurry of media as well as journalism system, the newspapers without taking into considerations of principals’ of objectivity and social accountability, engaged in covering political violence. Also in some cases they contributed in producing the discourse of political violence through encouraging and showing partiality to a specific party mainly by those newspapers which are representing political parties as well as the newspapers’ belong to private sector, become supporters’ of opposing characters and directs political violence discourse against the political authority. In other word, the Kurdish journalism do not perform its’ functions which are determined regarding social, political spheres, as well as, transmitting news service and nterpretation of events. According to the study, the Kurdistani new newspaper comes with the first rank in terms of the quantity of covering political violence, while Hawlati is in the second rank and xebat is in the third rank. In addition, Kurdistani nwe and Xebat focused more on un- governmental political violence, but hawlati covered more governmental political violence.
