Abstract

The paper presented a description of the standing the Northern Caucasian Railroad turned to be at the end of a recovery period. The survey considered the challenges arisen out of operational inefficiency by the Kuban Region railroad workers. The author made a following inference: the outcomes of introducing the socialist emulation and practicing high-powered work, increasing requirements to the labour ethics and production discipline of workers, enhancing their material and moral incentives for the efficient work, training for the purpose of recruiting railroad professionals, stirring up their labor-saving inventions, and introducing new forms of work as well (e.g. “adopting” (taking under patronage) a steam engine”, the end-to-end brigades and the supervisory ones, etc.) had been considered affirmative at the end of First Five-Year Plan. The survey has shown operation of the Krasnodar municipal AUCPB entity (All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks) and the Northern Caucasian Administrative District Railroad Direction, both having aimed at improving the functioning of the Kuban Region railroad Dept.
