The development of menstrual cycle disorders (MCD) in adolescent girls is often combined with obesity, therefore, it seems relevant to study the effect of pathological body weight gain on pubertal development. The purpose of the study. To study the association of obesity and menstrual disorders in adolescent girls. Materials and methods. Group 1 (40 people): obese and MCD, group 2 (40 people): with obesity without MCD. Laboratory tests: assessment of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism, calculation of the HOMA index; blood plasma levels of kisspeptin, thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), free thyroxine, total testosterone, prolactin, free androgen index (ISA), anti-muller hormone (AMH), 17-0H Progesterone(17-OHP), lutenizing hormone (LH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), estradiol (Е2). The obtained data were analyzed by constructing a mathematical model of the pathogenetic mechanisms associated with MCD in obese adolescent girls. Results. There were no differences in the degree of obesity in the groups: SDS BMI (Me1=2.9; Me2=2.94, p=0.459). In group 1, significantly more often: impaired glucose tolerance (1 g.=15%; 2 g.=2.5%, p=0.048) (NTU), hypertriglyceridemia (1 g.=37.5%; 2 g.=15%, p=0.048). Significantly higher in the group with MCD: levels of LH (Me1=8.85 mIU/ml; Me2=6.70 mIU/ml, p=0.022), kisspeptin (Me1=55.4 pg/ml; Me2=38.3 pg/ml, p=0.001), total testosterone (Me1=1.90 nmol/l; Me2=1.25 nmol/l, p=0.026), ISA (Me1=14.5; Me2=8.65, p=0.027), AMG (Me1=6.61 ng/ml; Me2=24.26 ng /ml, p=0.014), with a significantly lower level of Е2 (Me1=33.5 pg/ml; Me2=5.0 pg/ml, p=0.012). Conclusions. 1. Adolescent girls with obesity and MCD are significantly more likely to have NTU and hypertriglyceridemia compared with girls with similar severity of obesity without MCD; 2. When obesity and MCD are combined, significantly higher levels of kisspeptin, LH, AMH, total testosterone, ISA are noted; 3. Among the pathogenetic mechanisms associated with MCD, hormonal and matabolic independent associations have been established, the effect of which is independent; hormonal: kisspeptin - LH - testosterone, and metabolic: BMI - insulin and BMI - leptin.

Relationship Between Obesity and Menstrual Cycle Disorders in Adolescent Girls at SMP Al-Izzah International Islamic Boarding School Batu in 2021

Background: Results of the Riskesdas Nasional 2010 stated that as many as 13.7% of Indonesian women experienced menstrual cycle disorders. Menstrual cycle disorders in women, particularly in adolescent girls, needs special attention because they can have a long-term impact on their reproductive health. The most influential cause of menstrual cycle disorders is hormonal imbalance. This may be caused by several factors, including obesity. Therefore, this research is conducted to analyze the relationship between obesity and menstrual cycle disorders in adolescent girls. Method: This is observational analytic research with a cross-sectional research design. In 2021, 7th and 8th grade adolescent girls at SMP Al-Izzah International Islamic Boarding School Batu were sampled using the total sampling technique. A questionnaire with multiple questions about characteristics, nutritional status, and the menstrual cycle was used to gather the information needed for this research. Result: From a total of 202 respondents who filled out the research questionnaire, 19.8% were obese and 43.1% had menstrual cycle disorders. As many as 65% of 40 obese respondents suffered from menstrual cycle disorders. Hypothesis testing reveals a significant relationship between obesity and menstrual cycle disorders in adolescent girls (p = 0.002). Conclusion: Obesity influences the occurrence of menstrual cycle disorders in adolescent girls, and obese adolescent girls are up to 3.075 times more likely to have menstrual cycle disorders than non-obese adolescent girls.

KISSPEPTIN SIGNALING IN MENSTRUAL DISORDERS IN OBESE ADOLESCENT GIRLS

Background. Menstrual cycle disorders (MCD) are common among adolescent girls.Objective. To study the level of plasma kisspeptin in adolescent girls with obesity and MCD.Design and methods. The study included 80 adolescent girls with obesity. Group 1 — with MCD, group 2 — without MCD. Inclusion in groups 1 year or more after menarche. Laboratory examination included assessment of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism, hormonal examination.Results. There were no significant differences in SDS BMI between the groups (p = 0.486 and p = 0.459). Significantly higher in group 1: impaired carbohydrate tolerance (NTU), hypertriglyceridemia (p = 0.022), levels of kisspeptin, luteinizing hormone (LH), total testosterone, anti-muller hormone (AMH), free androgen index (ISA) (p = 0.001, p = 0.008, p = 0.026, p = 0.014, p = 0.027, respectively). The estradiol level in group 2 was significantly higher than in group 1 (p = 0.012). According to the results of the ROC analysis, the optimal value of the plasma kisspeptin level was found to be 53.56 pg/ml.Conclusion. Obese and MCD patients have significantly higher levels of kisspeptin, as well as LH, AMH, and testosterone than adolescent girls with similar severity of obesity without MCD. The plasma kisspeptin level is 53.56 pg/ml. It can be used as a new diagnostic criterion for predicting the risk of MCD in obese girls. Obese and MCD patients are significantly more likely to have NTU and hypertriglyceridemia compared to obese patients without MCD.

The Relationship between BMI and Menstrual Cycle Disorders in Adolescent Girls in the Working Area of the Posi Posi Community Health Centre

Menstrual cycle disorders are reproductive health problems commonly experienced by adolescent girls and can reflect endocrine imbalances and nutritional status. Body mass index (BMI) is known to play a role in regulating reproductive function, but empirical evidence based on primary health care services, especially in non-metropolitan areas, remains limited. This study aims to analyse the relationship between body mass index and menstrual cycle disorders in adolescent girls in the working area of Posi Posi Community Health Centre. This study used a quantitative observational cross-sectional analytical design. The subjects consisted of 78 adolescent girls aged 10–19 years who had experienced menstruation and met inclusion criteria. Data were collected through structured questionnaires to assess menstrual cycles and anthropometric measurements to determine BMI. Data analysis was conducted using univariate and bivariate methods with the chi-square test at p < 0.05. The results showed that most respondents had normal BMI, although abnormal BMI proportions remained notable. Menstrual disorders were more frequent among underweight, overweight, and obese adolescents compared to those with normal BMI. Statistical analysis indicated a significant relationship between BMI and menstrual disorders. In conclusion, BMI is significantly associated with menstrual cycle disorders in adolescent girls. These findings emphasise the importance of monitoring nutritional status as part of adolescent reproductive health services through promotive and preventive approaches. Furthermore, community health centres should strengthen education, early detection, and counselling programs to prevent complications and improve adolescents’ overall health outcomes and quality of life in the future generations sustainably for long term wellbeing overall.

The Prevalence of Menstrual Cycle Disorders and Menstrual Cycle-Related Symptoms in Female Athletes: A Systematic Literature Review.

Menstrual cycle (MC) disorders and MC-related symptoms can have debilitating effects on the health and performance of female athletes. As the participation of women in sports continues to increase, understanding the prevalence of a range of MC disorders and MC-related symptoms may guide preventive strategies to protect the health and optimise the performance of female athletes. Toexamine the prevalence of MC disorders and MC-related symptoms among female athletes who are not using hormonal contraceptives and evaluate the assessment methods used to identify MC disorders and MC-related symptoms. This systematic review was performed in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). Six databases were searched until September 2022 for all original research that reported the prevalence of MC disorders and/or MC-related symptoms in athletes not using hormonal contraceptives, which included the definitions of the MC disorders examined, and the assessment methods used. MC disorders included amenorrhoea, anovulation, dysmenorrhoea, heavy menstrual bleeding (HMB), luteal phase deficiency (LPD), oligomenorrhoea, premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). MC-related symptoms included any affective and physical symptoms related to the MC that do not cause significant personal, interpersonal or functional impairment. The prevalence data across eligible studies were combined, and all studies were qualitatively synthesised to evaluate the assessment methods and tools used to identify MC disorders and MC-related symptoms. The methodological quality of studies was assessed using a modified Downs and Black checklist. Sixty studies involving 6380 athletes were included. A wide range of prevalence was observed for all types of MC disorders, with a dearth of data on anovulation and LPD. Based on pooled data, dysmenorrhoea (32.3%; range 7.8-85.6%) was the most prevalent MC disorder. Studies reporting MC-related symptoms mostly examined the premenstrual and menstruation phases, where affective symptoms appeared more prevalent than physical symptoms. A larger proportion of athletes reported symptoms during the initial days of menstruation compared with the premenstrual phase. MC disorders and MC-related symptoms were retrospectively assessed using self-report methods in 90.0% of studies. Most studies (76.7%) in this review were graded as moderate quality. MC disorders and MC-related symptoms are commonplace among female athletes, warranting further research examining their impact on performance and preventive/management strategies to optimise athlete health. To increase the quality of future studies, researchers should adopt standardised definitions of MC disorders and assessment methods such as a combination of calendar counting, urinary ovulation tests and a mid-luteal phase serum progesterone measurement when assessing menstrual function. Similarly, standardised diagnostic criteria should be used when examining MC disorders such as HMB, PMS and PMDD. Practically, implementing prospective cycle monitoring that includes ovulation testing, mid-luteal blood sampling (where feasible) and symptom logging throughout the MC could support athletes and practitioners to promptly identify and manage MC disorders and/or MC-related symptoms. Serum levels of several cytokines in undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia in adolescent girls

The problem of connective tissue dysplasia is caused by the widespread spread among the population, the progressive nature of the disease, the involvement of various organs and systems in the lesion, a sufficiently high disability of patients and a decrease in working capacity. The aim – of the study was to study the serum content of certain pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines in adolescent girls with undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia and menstrual cycle disorders. 245 adolescent girls aged 11 to 17 years were examined (14.0 ± 0.15 years). Among them, 176 patients assigned to the main group were characterized by menstrual irregularities and the presence of UCTD. The control group was represented by conditionally healthy females of the same age in the number of 69 people. The content of interleukins - IL-1β (1. -4, -6, -10, -17A, and tumor necrosis factor-а were determined in blood serum samples using commercial enzyme immunoassay systems. It was found that in UCTD with menstrual cycle disorders in adolescent girls, the concentration of proinflammatory IL-6 in the blood serum increased (p = 0.002), at the same time, no changes in the content of IL-1β (IL-4, IL-10, IL-17A and tumor necrosis factor-ɑ (p > 0.05) were detected. The obtained data characterize the features of cytokine status, in menstrual disorders against the background of undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia in adolescent girls and can be used to develop effective individualized schemes of diagnostic and therapeutic, and preventive measures.

Menstrual problems affect as high as 90% of adolescent females and are the main reason for gynecology visits. Menstruation is a normal physiological phenomenon for females indicating her capability for procreation. Menstrual problems are common in adolescent girls, which may affect their life and outdoor activities. Adolescent girls with abnormal body mass index (BMI) suffer even more often. This study aimed to To assess the relationship between Menstrual Cycle Disorders and Symptoms Menstrual Cycle with BMI among adolescent school in MTs Bustanul Ulum. This study was a cross-sectional study conducted among 30 adolescent school girls of MTs Bustanul Ulum. Permission was obtained from principal of the school and written informed consent was taken from the parents of the school girls before taking part in the study. MC disorders included amenorrhoea, polymenorrhea, oligomenorrhoea, hypermenorrhoea and hypomenorrhoea. MC-related symptoms included dysmenorrhoea and premenstrual syndrome (PMS). All the data were collected, entered, and analyzed in SPSS 17.0. The data were analyzed using percentages and proportions through tables. Out of 30 adolescent girls, 19 (63.3%) were having a BMI 18.5, which implies that 50% of the girls were undernourished. Only 2 (6.7%) of adolescent girls were overweight. Adolescent girls who have a BMI 18.5 experience more symptoms and problems associated with menstrual cycles. This difference was statistically significant. Menstrual problems especially dysmenorrhea are frequent among adolescent girls. BMI play a very vital role for menstrual cycle regularity. Consequently, adolescent girls have to be given healthy and balance nutrition, which leads to maintenance of their normal BMI and regulate their menstrual cycle.

Background: Menstrual disorders often occur in adolescents, in the world the prevalence of menstrual cycle disorders in early adolescent women is around 45%, menstrual disorders can be serious. can be a sign of no ovulation, heavy bleeding and occurs over a long period of time can cause anemia in adolescents factors related to menstrual cycle disorders include stress, nutritional status, hemoglobin levels, physical activity, and sleep duration. Purpose: This study aims to determine the relationship between hemoglobin levels and nutritional status with menstrual cycle disorders in SMK students. Methodology: This study is a quantitative research that is correlational, the method used is non-experimental with cross sectional. The sample in this study amounted to 70 respondents, female adolescent students in grades X-XII. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique, using the Chi square test. Research Results: Univariate results showed that the majority of respondents did not experience menstrual cycle disorders 57.1%, the majority of normal hemoglobin levels 70% and the majority of normal nutritional status (58,6%. Bivariate results show a relationship between hemoglobin levels (p-value = 0.018) and nutritional status (p-value = 0.004) with menstrual cycle disorders. Conclusion: there is a relationship between hemoglobin levels and nutritional status with menstrual cycle disorders in female students of SMK. Suggestion: Young women need to consume iron supplements regularly and their nutritional status should remain in the normal category, namely by maintaining a healthy diet, exercising regularly so that their nutritional status is normal and their hemoglobin levels are normal and not anemic.

Disorders of menstrual function during puberty and the risk of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease with comorbid diseases of the gastrointestinal tract

The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between disorders of menstrual function in adolescence and the risk of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) with comorbid gastrointestinal pathology. Materials and methods. We examined 129 adolescent girls aged 12–17 years with menstrual disorders (61 with abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) and 68 with oligomenorrhea (OM)) and measured anthropometrics, indices of lipid and carbohydrate metabolism and liver enzymes. Data are presented in the form of mean (M), standard deviation (SD) and median (Me), a factorial model was developed. Results. The study shows the peculiarities of the clinical course of menstrual function disorders in girls of puberty age. Patients with AUB were characterized by significantly lower average body mass indices, they were younger compared to patients with OM. The nature of metabolic changes that depended on the type of menstrual disorders in teenage girls was clarified. Adolescents with AUB had statistically significantly higher average levels of immunoreactive insulin, HOMA index, triglycerides, very low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, aspartate aminotransferase. This creates conditions for the formation of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. A model was created regarding the participation of dyslipoproteinemia, changes in the carbohydrate spectrum and levels of liver enzymes in the formation of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease in girls with menstrual cycle disorders. Conclusions. Disorders of menstrual function are associated with an increased risk of NAFLD formation. Adolescent girls with menstrual disorders need metabolic screening. The atherogenic profile of lipoproteinemia, marked changes in the carbohydrate spectrum and increased serum levels of liver enzymes in girls with menstrual cycle disorders are the basis for the formation of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.

The Relationship Of Stress Level With Menstrual Cycle Disorders In SMK Health Nafsiah Stabat Year 2022

High and continuous stress can endanger the health of adolescents, where adolescents are the forerunners of the nation's successors. The future of the nation is in their hands. Adolescent girls as teenagers besides being the nation's successors in the field of development also play a role in giving birth to the next generation biologically. As the nation's successor, young women are expected to be healthy so that the quality of the nation's children is physically, psychologically and intellectually healthy. Normally, young women experience menstruation every month with a span of 21-35 days each time they menstruate. The normal menstrual cycle physiologically describes the reproductive organs that tend to be healthy and not problematic. When young women are stressed, it can cause menstrual cycle disorders, This study aims to determine the relationship between stress levels and menstrual cycle disorders in adolescent girls in grades X and XI at the Nafsiah Stabat Health Vocational School in 2022. The type of research used is descriptive correlation with a cross sectional study design. The research was conducted at the Nafsiah Stabat Health Vocational School with a sample of 34 people. Based on the results of the chi-square test using a computer, the results (p value) = 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05 can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted at a 5% significance level. So there is a relationship between stress levels and menstrual cycle disorders in adolescent girls at the Nafsiah Stabat Health Vocational School in 2022 at the level of confidence/significant (a) = 5% (0.05) obtained p value = 0.

Stress-induced endocrine changes in adolescent girls with menstrual cycle disorders in under the influence of the war in Ukraine

Hormonal functioning against the background of stress is almost the most discussed problem in Ukraine today. The menstrual cycle as a vital indicator of life activity reacts sharply to changes in the environment. Russian military aggression in Ukraine forced the majority of the population to experience the hardships of war. Research of hormonal support of menstrual cycle disorders in the emergency situations will expand the understanding of the interaction of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal and hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axes.The objective: to compare the hormonal determinants of stress-related menstrual disorders in adolescent girls in the pre-war period and against the background of war.Materials and methods. 331 adolescent girls with menstrual disorders (in 2018–2021 – 184 girls and in 2022–2024 – 147 girls) aged 11–17 years were examined. 149 girls were diagnosed with abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) (84 girls before the war and 65 – after the war), and 182 patients with oligomenorrhea (OM) (100 adolescents before the war and 82 – after the war). All patients lived in the territory of the city of Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region, which are subject to constant military attacks during the war. The hormonal examination complex included determination of blood serum concentrations of luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), prolactin, testosterone, cortisol, estradiol (E2), dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEA-S), and their ratios were calculated (LH/FSH, cortisol/DHEA-S, prolactin/cortisol, testosterone/cortisol, testosterone/E2).Results. In adolescents with menstrual disorders of the AUB and OM type, who were in the epicenter of constant bombardment, hormonal determinants changed. The level of stress-dependent hormones probably increased. These are the DHEA-S and prolactin concentrations. Accordingly, the ratio prolactin/cortisol increased and ratio cortisol/DHEA-S decreased, which indicates an increased resistance to a stressful situation. Being in a zone of armed conflict leads to the classic relationship between cortisol and DHEA-S, their correlation appears. Sex hormones also participate in the reaction to a stressful situation, and in AUB – testosterone, and in OM – E2. In girls in a zone of constant air raids and bombardments, against the background of a strong positive relationship between cortisol and DHEA-S, a rather weak correlation between cortisol and testosterone is found, which may indicate a less sensitive relationship between stress and sex hormones.Conclusions. Menstrual disorders are accompanied by impaired regulation of the pituitary-adrenal and pituitary-gonadal axes. Being in a zone of armed conflict increases the tension of stress-dependent and sex hormones in this contingent of patients, which can provoke a complicated course of AUB and OM.

Magnetic resonance imaging in the diagnosis of functional changes of the brain in menstrual disorders: a review

INTRODUCTION: Currently, the most common variant of the reproductive system disorders, in particular menstrual cycle disorders, in adolescent girls is oligomenorrhea. In situations after a complete diagnostic screening no organic and endocrine pathology of the reproductive system is detected in this group of patients, it is possible to conduct functional MRI as a method of identifying cause-and-effect relationships and clarifying the pathogenesis of menstrual disorders.OBJECTIVE: To analyze the available foreign and domestic literature to determine the role of magnetic resonance imaging in the diagnosis of functional brain changes in menstrual disorders in adolescent girls.MATERIALS AND METHODS: A search was conducted for scientific publications in the information and analytical systems PubMed and Google Scholar for 2013–2023 by keywords: «resting-state functional MRI» («functional resting MRI»), «oligomenorrhhea» («oligomenorrhea»), «adolescent girls» («teenage girls»), «reproductive system functional disorders» («functional disorders of the reproductive system»), «magnetic resonance imaging» («magnetic resonance imaging»), «diagnostic radiology» («radiation diagnostics»). 46 publications related to the diagnosis of functional brain changes in menstrual disorders in the form of resting state fMRI were analyzed.RESULTS: Resting state fMRI allows us to assess the basic brain activity in the absence of certain sensory or cognitive stimuli and visualize working networks that include various parts of the brain demonstrating synchronous changes in the BOLD-signal at rest. There are a number of patterns of changes in the BOLD-signal that can be observed in various phases of the menstrual cycle, as well as under the influence of stress factors, which makes it possible to visualize the morphological substrate of oligomenorrhea that occurs against the background of the absence of organic and endocrine pathology of the reproductive system in adolescent girls. Currently, there is little data in the scientific literature on the use of functional resting MRI in this cohort of patients, however, this method can have a significant impact on the formation of an individual plan for the correction of reproductive disorders in adolescence, and therefore requires further study.CONCLUSION: The use of fMRI can open up new possibilities in the diagnosis of functional brain disorders in girls with «unexplained» oligomenorrhea.

Study of hormonal status and bone metabolism in underage female athletes with primary amenorrhea

Introduction. Fractures, particularly low-energy ones, are more common in female athletes with oligo/amenorrhea compared to their peers without menstrual disorders. This problem is associated with various hormonal changes and impaired bone remodeling processes. Objective . Assessment of bone metabolism and serum hormonal parameters in highly qualified under-18 female athletes both with primary amenorrhea and without menstrual cycle disorders. Materials and methods . A single-center single-stage study involved 111 young female athletes aged 15–18 years (median age 15.9 [14.9; 16.6] years), who were members of Russian national teams in five sports. All the participants underwent comprehensive medical examination at the Federal Scientific and Clinical Center for Children and Adolescents of FMBA of Russia between March 2021 and July 2023. The athletes were divided into two groups based on the presence of primary amenorrhea. The group with primary amenorrhea included 23 athletes (median age 15.8 [15.1; 16.3] years); the comparison group consisted of 88 athletes (median age 15.9 [14.9; 16.6] years) with a regular menstrual cycle. Serum levels of osteocalcin, C-terminal telopeptide (β-CrossLaps), type 1 procollagen (P1NP), parathyroid hormone (PTH), vitamin D (25(OH)D3), and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity were measured. To assess hormonal status, levels of luteinizing hormone (LH), folliclestimulating hormone (FSH), estradiol, and leptin were evaluated. Sexual maturity was assessed according to the Tanner rating, and body composition was evaluated using bioelectrical impedance analysis. Statistical data processing was performed using the Statistica v. 10.0 software package (StatSoft Inc., USA). Results. Athletes with primary amenorrhea were characterized by lower body weight (p < 0.0001) and body fat percentage (p < 0.0001) compared to their peers without menstrual disorders. The analysis of LH (p = 0.328) and FSH (p = 0.069) levels did not reveal statistically significant differences between the study groups; however, the adolescent athletes with primary amenorrhea had lower levels of estradiol 182.0 [123.0; 227.0] and 244.0 [143.5; 518.5] (p = 0.002) and leptin 2.1 [1.2; 4.1] and 9.1 [5.1; 14.9] (p < 0.0001) compared those without menstrual cycle disorders. The athletes with primary amenorrhea showed an increase in both bone formation markers (P1NP, osteocalcin) and bone resorption markers (β-CrossLaps and ALP) compared to their peers without menstrual disorders. Conclusions. Minors with primary amenorrhea are characterized by disharmonious physical development due to underweight, accompanied by reduced body fat content, decreased levels of leptin and estradiol, preserved gonadostat function, and increased markers of bone metabolism. The identified hormonal and metabolic features may represent a significant risk for impaired bone remodeling in this group of athletes.

Correlations of cytokines, regulating the synthesis of structural macromolecules of connective tissue, in undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia in adolescent girls

Objective: to study the correlations of serum levels of cytokines, regulating the synthesis of structural macromolecules of connective tissue, in undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia in adolescent girls with menstrual cycle disorders. Materials and methods: 176 adolescent girls aged 11 to 17 years with menstrual cycle disorders (MCD) and undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia (UCTD) and 69 healthy girls of the same age were examined. Levels of cytokines IL-1β, IL-4, IL-6, IL-10, IL-17A, TNF-α, OPG, RANKL were studied in serum samples. Results: a significant increase in serum IL-6 and RANKL (p<0,01), as well as a tendency (p<0,1) to increase OPG production was found in adolescent girls with UCTD with MCD. In UCTD with NMC, correlations between the studied cytokines are much more common than in the control group (p=0,01). The most pronounced in adolescent girls with UCTD are positive correlations (moderate strength) between the concentrations of three cytokines IL-6, RANKL and OPG. Conclusions: The data obtained reflect the mechanisms of cytokine dysregulation of metabolism and remodeling of connective tissue and indicate the development of a weakly expressed systemic inflammatory process in UCTD with MCD in adolescent girls. The results of the study can be used to develop effective individualized schemes of therapeutic and preventive measures.

Menstrual cycle disorders are menstrual disorders, also known as abnormal uterine bleeding, which is a complaint that often causes women to seek treatment from a doctor or first aid center. There were 30 acceptors who experienced menstrual cycle disorders. The aim is to analyze the relationship between injectable contraceptive use and menstrual cycle disorders at Dr. Tengku Mansyur, Tanjung Balai city in 2022. The method used is an analytical survey, the research design used is cross sectional. The independent variable is injectable contraception. The dependent variable is menstrual cycle disorders in the population of all new acceptors of injectable contraception. Statistical tests use chi-square, research instruments use questionnaires. The results of the study were that most respondents used injectable contraception with menstrual cycle disorders as many as 30 (65.4%). The results of statistical tests using chis square showed p value = 0.000 with a significance level of α (0.05) and p < α (0.000 < 0.05), so H0 was rejected, which means there is a relationship between the use of injectable contraception and menstrual cycle disorders in family planning acceptors .Based on research results, efforts that can be made are by improving lifestyle, consuming healthy food and balancing activity patterns.
