Abstract

CONCLUSIONS (1) A study has been made of the hydrolytic copolycondensation of 1,2-organoehlorosilylsubstituted ethanes with organochlorosilanes. It has been shown that the process leads to the formation of copolymeric products containing units in the molecular chains corresponding to each of the monomers used in the reaction. (2) The nature of the resulting oligomers depends on their functionality, as well as on the reaction conditions, and is governed by the behaviour of 1,2-organochlorosilylsubstituted ethanes under conditions of hydrolysis.
