Abstract

An organic-inorganic hybrid compound [Cu4L5(HL)][BW12O40] {L=1,4-bis((1H-pyrazol-1-yl)methyl)benzene} was produced by hydrothermally synthesis from Keggin-type borotungstate, L, and Cu(NO3)2. The hybrid compound displayed a novel wavelike 2D network formed by shared edges of a core unit composed of ten Cu in a cyclic arrangement. Cyclic voltammetry showed that the reduction process was surface and diffusion controlled.
