Abstract

Background: The main risk factor for Kaposi’s sarcoma is contact to the feces of sexual partners. The risk increases with the frequency of oral-anal contacts with different partners. Patient: We report a case of a white male homosexual with Kaposi’s sarcoma renal cell carcinoma without detectable HIV infection. The tumor was resected the patient is healthy still HIV-negative after a period of 3 years. Conclusion: The so-called ‘Kaposi agent’ is still unknown but may be of retroviral nature seems to be sexually transmissible.
