Abstract

The isobar-doorway model is formulated for $\overline{K}$-nucleus scattering. A $\overline{K}$-nucleus optical potential is derived. Using the closure approximation, binding energies and widths of the $\ensuremath{\Lambda}(1405)$ and $\ensuremath{\Lambda}(1520)$ in nuclear matter are obtained from $\overline{K}$-atomic data and elastic scattering.NUCLEAR REACTIONS Meson induced reactions.
