Abstract

Transport accessibility of new Arctic facilities of various functions is a top-priority task that requires a systemic approach on the part of the road and transportation industry represented by executive authorities. The speed of the development of Arctic reserves and the economic safety of the Russian Federation depend on the application of effective design and construction technologies with regard to transport infrastructure. Bearing this in mind, we analyze the global experience in the use of cement concrete roads and compare their efficiency with the efficiency of asphalt concrete road surfaces during their entire life cycle.
