Abstract

An iterative maximum likelihood (ML) detection for multiple transmit and receive antennas (MIMO) systems under an asynchronous interference scenario is addressed. It has been observed that, depending on the overlapping between interference and the training interval, different initializations are required for the iterative ML scheme. A reconfigurable receiver is proposed, which exploits on-line initialization selection. Its efficiency is demonstrated in TDMA and OFDM environments.
