Abstract

Appropriate use of medication is special a concern in geriatric patients or patients with chronic kidney disease, but the relationship between such risk factors and incidence of adverse drug events (ADEs) is not well known. We investigated the effects of elderly and renal functions on the incidences of ADEs. The Japan Adverse Drug Events (JADE) study was a prospective cohort study of patients admitted in 3 tertiary care hospitals, enrolling 3,459 patients.
