Abstract

The research descibes isolation and identification of flavonoid compounds from ethanolic extract of greenpeal seed (Vigna radiata (L.) R. Wilczek). The process of isolation is done through extraction by maceration method, fractionation by liquid-liquid extraction method followed by vacuum liquid chromatography (VLC), and purification by preparative thin layer chromatography (TLC). Isolate is tested its purity by TLC method purity single developer and TCL 2 dimension. The result showes that isolate is a pure compound. Isolated compound is identified by spectrophotometry UV-Vis by spectra gestalt reagent. The identification indicates that isolate from mung bean is flavonoid that suspected of auron group.
