Abstract

An editorial is presented which addresses the author's views about the relationship between forgiveness and public health in America as of 2018, and it mentions the differences between decisional forgiveness and emotional forgiveness, as well as information about the psychological aspects of events such as a mass shooting incident at the Emmanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in South Carolina. The REACH model of forgiveness which deals with recall, empathy, and altruism is assessed.
