Abstract
Projections of first-order reversal curves (FORC) are shown to provide valuable separations between irreversible and reversible behavior while only requiring 1% of the measurement points of full FORC. These projections have been used in nanobarcoding for biocomposites which may, for example, be used as internal bandaids where readout benefits from blind, contact-free magnetic measurements. The projection method was also extended to experimentally separate the irreversible and reversible hysteresis behavior of hard and soft components of exchange-coupled composite (ECC) media.
