Abstract

Abstract Genotype differences exist in the sensitivity of cultivars of lentil to iron deficiency. Compost‐amended pyrite resulted in significantly higher dry weight of nodules, N2ase activity, and other nodule functions of genotypes L‐9–12 and Pant 406 than other cultivars. The 59Fe contents of different plant parts and nodules indicate that the genotypes differed greatly in iron absorption and translocation capacity.
