Abstract

The Inverse Polynomial Reconstruction Method (IPRM) is employed to perform post-processing to removed possible Gibbs phenomenon in Fourier pseudo-spectral timedomain (F-PSTD) simulation. Compared with the Gegenbauer reconstruction, the IPRM is preferable for its simplicity and accuracy in reconstruction. Thus the IPRM is employed to do post-processing on F-PSTD fields for the first time so far as we know. The results are compared with those of finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) with the same settings, and a good coincidence is found. This shows the feasibility, simplicity and accuracy to use IPRM to do post-processing of fields by F-PSTD.
