Abstract

The purpose of this study is to activate unpopular sports through IPA method. For this study, 230 customers who have visited boxing title match located in Siheung April 2017 were chosen as the sample through convenience sampling method. For accomplishing the purpose of study, descriptive, frequency analyses, paired t-test and IPA method were performed using SPSS version 23.0. The study results are as follows: Firstly, internal factors related to an athlete performance must be maintained continuously. Also, we must improve public relations of the game through utilization of SNS and secure title sponsorship. Secondly, internal factors related to the game, such as the athlete’s performance, equipment and referees should be improved first rather than an environmental factors outside the game. Finally, as a result of IPA matrix analysis, above all, public relations of the game are the highest priority. External factors related to the game and customer service do not need be considered, but internal factors related to the game need to be maintained.
