Abstract

Lung transplantation has evolved into a life-saving therapy for patients with advanced lung diseases. Success rates after lung transplantation are largely due to advances in immunosuppressive therapies that have enabled transplant recipients to maintain lung allograft function with decreased acute and chronic rejection. However, it is unclear if any particular immunosuppressive therapy is better for decreasing rejection and improving survival after lung transplant.
