Abstract

MgFe2O4 ferrite has been synthesized by using solid state technique. X-ray diffraction analysis confirmed the presence of single phase cubic spinel ferrite. The FT-IR spectra of MgFe2O4 show a high frequency vibration band at 590 cm-1 tetrahedral site and low frequency vibrations band at 430 cm-1 octahedral site. Electrical properties of Mg ferrite were studied by DC-electrical resistivity. The resistivity decreases with increasing temperature. Magnetic parameters, i.e., saturation magnetization, Coercivity, Romanians magnetization has been studied. Maximum saturation magnetization 34.5214 emu/g is recorded. Electron spin resonance (ESR) was another method in order to study magnetic properties.
