Abstract

Objective To investigate the nutritional status of moderate and severe cardiac insufficient patients, and supply scientific basis for better nutritional direction. Methods A total of 89 cases were investigated according to the mini-nutritional assessment. Results In the patients with classⅢ cardiac function, 9.09% of them had a good nutritional status, 24.04% of them had a risk of malnutrition, 66.67% of them had a confirmed poor nutritional status. While in the patients with classⅣ cardiac function, 7. 14% of them had a good nutritional status, 26. 79% of them had a risk of malnutrition, 66. 07% of them had a confirmed poor nutritional status; there had no significant different nutritional status between patients with classⅢ andⅣ cardiac function (x2 =6. 764, P > 0. 05). Conclusions Most of the moderate and severe cardiac insufficient patients had malnutrition. It' s necessary to evaluate their nutritional status early and regularly.
