Abstract

Objective To study the misdiagnosis of tuberculosis cases.at five districts, one city of Zaozhuang in nearly 10 years. Methods Retrospective analysis from Oct,1999 to Oct,2009 in Zaozhuang city during the tuberculosis control agencies and the general hospital outpatient, hospital respiratory patient information, statistical analysis to analyze the causes of misdiagnosis, misdiagnosis to age, type of misdiagnosis of the disease, misdiagnosis days, and preventive measures. Results The rate of misdiagnosis of tuberculosis in our city over the past decade was 3.66%, misdiagnosis of sex, the difference was not statistically significant (P<0.05), misdiagnosed the age above 40 years old accounted for 72.6% majority of patients, misdiagnosed disease to pneumonia, lung cancer accounted for the most common 28% and 23.9%, the average number of rnisdiagnosed days was(10.0±0.8) d. Conclusions Clinical manifestations of tuberculosis complex, hospital, general hospital, and even anti-knot structure of most pairs of high priority to workers is not enough, the lack of understanding, resulting in many TB patient in the clinic or even earlier was the main reason for misdiagnosis and mistreatment, increased awareness of TB, for symptoms typical of tuberculosis into the TB structure timely diagnosis and treatment to further reduce an important means of misdiagnosis and mistreatment of tuberculosis.
