Abstract

The UK Government indicated that certain provisions were needed in the Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Act 2013 to enable aspects of EU Copyright Directives to be implemented under the European Communities Act 1972. The statements given by the Government and Ministers in Parliament in relation those provisions might in fact undermine all previous implementations and put the United Kingdom in breach of EU law.
