Abstract
This article presents an example of a “hybrid” course in Introduction to Gerontology which combines distance education with some aspects of a traditional on-campus course. After a brief discussion of distance education in gerontology, the underlying principles, objectives, components, implementation and outcomes of the hybrid course are described.
