Abstract

The article deals with the problem of introduction of military-professional lexical material in the structure of studying Russian as a foreign language in a military University. Semantisation methods are analysed and choice of the most efficient method of professional military vocabulary introduction is substantiated. The specificity of the institution led to the choice of lexical thematic group, which focuses the attention of the authors – namely, military-professional vocabulary. The choice of material is also justified by the practical part of training, because its usage is a necessary condition for the performance of military daily professional duties. The article deals with the ways of introduction of military-professional and combatant vocabulary within the preparatory course, refers to possible ways to control the assimilation of lexical material, provides guidelines based on specific teaching experience, the application contains some examples of lexical units required for the development of foreign military personnel.
