Abstract

It is an established fact that intralesional injections of triamcinolone will result in temporary involution of most psoriatic lesions.1,2The purpose of this report is to note the effects produced by injecting different doses of triamcinolone acetonide into various parts of the same lesion. Large lesions were chosen to permit such injections and to allow untreated parts of the same lesion to be used as the control. The doses,*suspended in 1 cc. volume and diluted with saline when necessary, varied from 10 mg. to 0.07 mg. Photographs were taken approximately once weekly. No local treatment was permitted throughout the course of the experiment, and all patients were hospitalized.
