Abstract

ABSTRACT In this editorial, I discuss the development of an Interviewing Social Work Leaders assignment for an MSW elective course on social work leadership. The assignment asked each student to use the established six-question interview guide for the Points of View submission (link to the introduction to the POV series: https://doi.org/10.1080/23303131.2020.1789799) and interview a social work leader in their professional circle. I reflect on the experience of integrating an informal peer-review process for students to offer feedback on each other’s draft piece prior to submission for assessment. I conclude by encouraging other instructors to consider developing course assignments toward the Point of View submission to help build the knowledge base concerning the What and How of social work leadership in contemporary times.
