Abstract
Dolores Ibarreta is a Senior Scientific Officer of the European Commission. She holds a PhD in Genetics from Universidad Complutense of Madrid, Spain. She has worked as a researcher at the Spanish Research Council (CIB-CSIC) in Madrid and at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington DC (USA). Her current position at the Institute for Prospective Technological Studies focuses on the analysis of the possible impact of emerging healthcare applications of biotechnologies on European policy formulation, as well as supporting policy impact assessments.
