Abstract

The current trend in working out the quality of life index is the use of both objective and subjective indicators . The article studies approaches to conceptualization of quality of life and evaluates the academic acceptability of existing Russian and international indices of the quality of life . The goal of the present article is to assess the interrelation of objective and subjective figures in the structure of quality of life indices on the basis of VEB.RF Index. The analysis was carried out by estimating the dependence of the quality of life perception on the level of education , comfort of dwellings , accessibility of medical institutions and food stores , contamination of the atmosphere , the level of profits , sense of security and health indicators ( based on data of 2021). The choice of VEB.RF Index as an analytical tool was grounded by the fact that its database , in contrast to other indices , is open and its structure is based both on objective and subjective indicators . The authors identified the correlation between objective and subjective indicators and it proves the necessity to take into account both types of indicators for working out the quality of life indices.
