Abstract

On-demand service needs of ubiquitous computing requires a common interoperable platform with requisite security standards. The concept of servic e orientation in Grids are applicable to cater these needs. Open Grid Services Architecture (OGSA) has become the acceptable standard for construction of grid systems. In grid computing, services consumers and providers interact with service orientation through requestresponse. Grid infrastructure supports services on demand. Grids provide coordinated and controlled resource sharing with capability of problem solving in dynamic, multi-organizational virtual enterprises with diverse and heterogeneous computing environment. In this paper, we propose an interoperable model with solution to security issues particularly single sign-on, delegation of access rights, integration with various local authentication schemes, trust and privacy. Our solution is presented with recent advances with suggested models in the backdrop of available technologies and work by several researchers.
