Abstract

FOREWORD FROM THE CHAIRMAN OF ICMAAE 2016PROF. DR. MEFTAH HRAIRIChairman of ICMAAE’16Head of Mechanical Engineering DepartmentInternational Islamic University MalaysiaThe 3rd International Conference on Mechanical, Automotive and Aerospace Engineering (ICMAAE’16) was held in the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Kuala Lumpur during July 25-27, 2016. ICMAAE’16 was organized as part of IIUM Engineering Congress 2016 (IEC’16) which also comprised the 4th International Conference on Biotechnology Engineering (ICBioE’16) and the 6th International Conference on Computer and Communication Engineering (ICCCE’16).The main objective of organizing this conference is to provide an international technical forum for engineers, academicians, scientists and researchers to present result of on-going and completed research in the areas of Mechanical, Automotive and Aerospace Engineering. The primary focus of the conference is to create an effective medium for institutions and industries to meet, present and discuss the latest research developments, challenges and trends in mechanical, automotive and aerospace engineering. In addition, ICMAAE’16 aims at providing an opportunity to renew old friendships and make new acquaintances.The success and prosperity of ICMAAE’16 depended completely on the effort, talent, and energy of researchers who have written and submitted papers on a variety of topics in the field of mechanical, automotive and aerospace engineering. We were indeed glad at the favorable response received from the scientific community around the world. Praise is also deserved for all of those who supported ICMAAE’16. Especially, we would like to thank the organizing committee and reviewers who have invested significant time in analyzing and assessing multiple papers and who held and maintained a high standard of quality for this conference. My thanks go to all the sponsors and all participants in making this conference a success.These proceedings, which covers 3 chapters: Aerospace, Automotive, Mechanical, are a compilation of the accepted papers and represent an interesting outcome of the conference.
