Abstract

Eighteen laboratories took part in an international comparison of activity measurements of a solution of 109Cd. The final results and their uncertainties are presented in a table and on a graph where they are compared with a value obtained in the framework of the International Reference System. The total range of the results is 2.6%. A weighted mean, based on seventeen values, of (5992 ± 7) Bq mg −1 was evaluated for the activity concentration on the reference date. New values for the γ-ray emission probability, P γ , and for the total conversion coefficient, α t, were deduced from the measurements of nine laboratories.
