Abstract
THERE exists on the Moon a large number of craters many of which may be meteoric in origin. And if—as is often suggested—tektites result from meteoric impact there may be large numbers scattered over the lunar surface. The study of the surface structures of any such lunar tektites would indicate whether or not there had been a lunar atmosphere at the time of formation of such tektites because, if created in a vacuum, they would be of near spherical shape. If initiated in an atmosphere, however, they would probably resemble Earth tektites.
