Abstract

In this article I will review the findings of the potential interactive effects of HIV infection and heroin use as observed in both clinical and laboratory studies. Some of the findings are discrepant and I will endeavour to propose models that could accomodate these variant results as well as suggest factors that could be considered in analysing future investigations in order to resolve these apparent discrepancies.
