Abstract

Many competing intelligibility theories are available for the interesting practitioner of intelligibility testing. These include AI, STI, RASTI, ALcons objective tests and subjective tests, such as the PB Word and the Modified Rhyme Test. It is important to understand the most appropriate method for selecting which test to employ in a particular circumstance. Orfield Associates has used all of these tests and owns test systems for their performance. Testing experiences and views will be shared, along with current conclusions regarding these tests and intelligibility theory.
