Abstract

With the gradual improvement of China's electric power network, increasingly higher requirement is put forward for power network maintenance and power supply quality. Short circuit is one common and destructive fault in power grid. In recent years, a number of power grid accidents occurred in China Southern Power Grid Company, causing considerable short circuit impact on power equipment and seriously affecting the safe and stable operation of the power system. At present, the mechanical fault diagnosis technology of high-voltage circuit breaker has many problems, such as difficult installation, complex wiring and operation, and single diagnosis technology. Moreover, the existing monitoring system cannot comprehensively monitor and diagnose all parts of the circuit breaker, such as secondary control circuit components, spring or hydraulic operating mechanism, operating transmission rod and mechanical components of arc extinguishing chamber, it is difficult to perform intelligent analysis and status assessment of circuit breakers in substations. This paper introduces an intelligent early warning analysis method for circuit breakers based on fault recording, and gives the overall design of online monitoring device for circuit breakers. Through the substation recording data, SOE signal of protection switch action and mechanical characteristic data, the current of opening and closing coils and three-phase main circuit are monitored, and the data are analyzed and the potential mechanical fault of circuit breakers is diagnosed, It provides an effective technical means for condition based maintenance of high-voltage circuit breakers.
