Abstract

The paper presents a solution for intelligent control of an underground irrigation and fertilization system. Irrigation and application of chemical fertilizers (nitrogen) through underground installations is a much more effective method for agricultural crops. This method allows for better control over the way which irrigation and fertilization are performed. The solution proposed in this paper is an intelligent command and control system for irrigation and fertilization using the underground facility. On the one hand, we have a set of input parameters related to soil quality: humidity, temperature and pH and a set of output parameters related to the irrigation system control or application (also via the irrigation system) of the fertilizer. An intelligent algorithm will determine the sequence of commands that will improve the input parameters and reach optimal irrigation and fertilization points. Another smart algorithm will determine the value of the optimal points.
