The authors referred to the spatiotemporal modelled predictions as ‘pair abundance models’, calculated using the equation: VIF (P + LM), when in actuality the authors modelled waterfowl breeding population VIF ((2P + 2LM) + G) where G represents mixed sex groups of waterfowl. This is largely a scaling error as the input values resulting from those two equations are correlated (correlation = 0.99). All of the resulting proportions and conclusions can remain the same. The modelling processes that the authors have rerun thus far have indicated identical model selection, correlations, etc. The authors would also like to acknowledge that some minor changes have also been made to some of the table and figure legends in the supporting information file which can be accessed as part of the online article publication.
