This review paper offers a comprehensive exploration of blockchain technology's integration in scheduling activities across various industries. It systematically gathered and analyzed literature, identifying 133 relevant documents through rigorous screening from 2017 till 2023. The bibliometric analysis, including co-authorship and co-occurrence maps, revealed key trends, influential authors, and emerging research areas. Content analysis focused on blockchain applications in service optimization, system and resource planning, management, project and production planning, energy optimization, and security enhancement. The research acknowledged significant advancements in these areas, particularly in terms of improved efficiency, transparency, and security. The findings underscore the potential of blockchain in revolutionizing scheduling and management processes across different sectors, highlighting the need for further exploration of its applications and implications in various professional contexts. The paper aims to bridge the gap in the literature by presenting a holistic view of blockchain's role in advancing scheduling methods, driving innovation, and fostering more robust, efficient, and transparent scheduling systems across industries.

Blockchain technology has emerged as a disruptive innovation with significant implications for the financial services industry. This bibliometric review aims to analyze the academic literature on blockchain applications in financial services, identifying key trends, influential authors, and emerging research areas.This research contributes by offering a comprehensive overview of the blockchain's journey in financial services. Following the PRISMA approach, the authors meticulously curated relevant articles from the Dimension database. Bibliographic data were then meticulously assembled and analyzed using VOSviewer 1.6.20 and Bibliometrix version 4.3.0 employed to construct various network visualization maps, including co-authorship, citation, co-citation, bibliographic coupling, and term co-occurrence. The resulting network maps provided a comprehensive overview of the scholarly landscape, highlighting influential works, collaborative networks, and thematic clusters. By conducting a systematic review and bibliometric analysis, we aim to identify research gaps, influential authors, key themes and trends, thus providing a holistic understanding of blockchain's role in the financial sector. Paper also discusses the future scope in blockchain applications in fintech applications.

Corporate Governance in GCC countries: A bibliometric and content analysis

This study aims to highlight the current trends in the literature on corporate governance in Gulf Cooperation Council countries by applying a bibliometric and content analysis of papers on corporate governance. This research intends to identify gaps in the corporate governance literature by conducting a complete bibliometric assessment. Design/methodology/approach- Bibliometric analysis is a quantitative approach to analyzing bibliographic data that focuses on the key theoretical and empirical contributions to a certain research subject. It enables a researcher to categorize the information according to many aspects, such as the paper, journal, author, indexation, organization, or country. This study reviews a total of 704 articles on corporate governance published in the GCC countries. Bibliometric analysis was performed using VOSviewer, and content analysis was performed using the Bibliometrix package by R. Findings – The research findings indicate that corporate governance research can be categorized into subfields. The results identify four major clusters: financial reporting quality, corporate social responsibility, earning management, and ownership types. This study also presents recommendations for future research in this field. Practical implications – The findings of this study have implications for corporate governance research, such as the impact of earning management on environmental, social, and governance disclosure. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this study is the only one to review the key corporate governance research topics on which papers published in the GCC are focused. It can be largely used for corporate governance practices. Originality/value—This study provides an overview of how the literature on corporate governance research has developed in the region. It summarizes the most influential authors, countries, organizations, and journal sources. This provides an opportunity for further study in this area in future studies.

Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Research Over the Past Two Decades (2005–2025): Global Bibliometric and Knowledge Network Analysis

Objective: To conduct a comprehensive bibliometric and knowledge network analysis of musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSK US) research from 2005 to 2025, with a focus on publication trends, influential authors, institutions, and thematic hotspots. Methods: Articles related to MSK US were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection using the search strategy TS = (“musculoskeletal ultrasound” OR “MSK ultrasound” OR “musculoskeletal ultrasonography”) AND (tendon OR ligament). Eligible studies included English-language original research and review articles published between 2005 and 2025. Bibliometric analyses were performed using VOSviewer and CiteSpace to evaluate publication trends, co-citation networks, author collaborations, institutional and country partnerships, and keyword co-occurrence. Results: A total of 570 articles (476 original research papers and 94 reviews) were included. The annual number of publications increased exponentially, peaking in 2020. Co-citation analysis identified Wakefield (2005), Naredo, and Filippucci as foundational contributors. Author collaboration networks highlighted a strong European core centered on Italy and Spain, while institutional and country analyses revealed a “Europe–North America” dual-center pattern with growing contributions from China. Keyword co-occurrence analysis revealed three main research pillars: inflammatory arthropathies, sports-related injuries, and degenerative conditions, with emerging interest in advanced imaging techniques and artificial intelligence. Conclusion: T MSK US research has demonstrated sustained growth and diversification over the past two decades. Europe remains a traditional leader, but increasing output from North America and Asia reflects a shift toward global, multicenter collaboration. Future research should prioritize methodological standardization, integration of novel imaging technologies, and alignment with clinically meaningful outcomes to optimize diagnostic accuracy and clinical utility.

A bibliometric analysis of research on dementia comorbid with depression from 2005 to 2024.

With the global rise in life expectancy, the incidence of dementia is increasing, often accompanied by depressive symptoms. Understanding the interplay between dementia and depression is crucial, as depression may not only co-occur with but also potentially exacerbate the progression of dementia. This study employs bibliometric analysis to map the global research landscape, identify prevailing themes, and discern future research directions. We analyzed reviews and original research articles on dementia and depression extracted from the Web of Science Core Collection spanning from 2005 to 2024. Utilizing tools such as CiteSpace, VOSviewer, and an R-based bibliometric analysis package, we assessed trends in publication volume, citation frequency, contributing countries, leading institutions, predominant journals, influential authors, and emergent keywords. A total of 1972 publications were obtained, revealing a consistent increase in both the number of publications and their citation impact over the study period. The United States is the country with the most publications and the most extensive collaborations. The University of Toronto and the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease were identified as key contributors to this field. This research area is currently focused on cognitive impairments, the role of gut microbiota, and non-drug interventions. Future directions emphasize the importance of early detection and intervention, a deeper understanding of the gut-brain axis, and the integration of technology in treatment strategies. Additionally, there is a growing interest in the physiological and psychological interplays such as oxidative stress and its implications. This study underscores pathogenesis, comorbid conditions, and non-drug interventions as primary research focal points, suggesting these areas as potential pathways for therapeutic innovation. These insights are intended to deepen our understanding, enhance diagnostics, and improve the management of dementia and depression, providing guidance for future research aimed at addressing these escalating global health challenges.

Objective: This research aims to explore the dynamics of Islamic education through a bibliometric analysis, focusing on its challenges and prospects in the modern context. The study utilizes the VOSviewer software to systematically analyze 1,377 publications on Islamic education from 2015 to 2024, retrieved from the Scopus database. Theoretical framework: The theoretical framework is grounded in the interplay between traditional Islamic principles and modern educational paradigms, emphasizing the need for a balanced approach to preserving Islamic traditions while adapting to contemporary demands. Literature Review: The literature review identifies key themes in Islamic education research, such as traditional teaching methods, curriculum development, and the integration of technology. Additionally, emerging topics like inclusive education, the use of digital tools, and sustainability are highlighted as critical areas of focus for future development. Methods: The research employs a bibliometric analysis method, mapping co-authorship, co-citation, and keyword networks to identify dominant research trends, influential authors, and geographical patterns in the field. This approach enables a comprehensive understanding of the research landscape and its evolution over time. Results: The findings reveal that Islamic education faces a dual challenge: maintaining its spiritual and cultural essence while embracing innovation and globalization. Key insights include the increasing importance of digital tools in enhancing access and inclusivity, the need for curriculum reforms that incorporate skill-based learning, and the growing attention to sustainability in Islamic education. Despite progress, significant gaps remain in teacher training, policy implementation, and resource allocation, which require immediate attention. EFL Teachers' Use of ICT and Learner-centered Teaching Strategies to Improve English Listening Instruction - A Bibliometric Analysis

The ability to listen attentively is of utmost importance for individuals who are learning a language, as it serves as the bedrock for effective communication and mastery of the language. Nonetheless, conventional methods employed in teaching listening tend to concentrate on passive listening exercises, resulting in limited engagement and insufficient development of this skill. To overcome these constraints, the integration of information and communication technology (ICT) tools alongside learner-centric teaching strategies has proven to be highly beneficial. This review will look at the current level of research and innovations in the use of ICT and learner-centered teaching techniques to improve EFL teachers' listening instruction from 2012 to 2023. On March 15th, 2023, 232 papers were collected from the Scopus database and a bibliometric analysis was performed to examine the publishing trend and geographic distribution, the contribution and collaboration of various nations, the most influential authors and publications, the most frequently used author keywords, and under-explored issues. From 2012 to 2023, the data revealed a rising trend in overall publication production, with 51 countries contributing to the research on EFL instructors' use of ICT and learner-centered teaching practices to improve listening instruction. The United States, Australia, and Iran were the top three contributors among these countries. The most commonly used author keywords were EFL, ICT, learner-centered teaching strategies, listening instruction, and teaching methods, indicating that these were the major themes of study in this area over the preceding decade.

Study on neural stem cells and spinal cord injury: Based on bibliometric analysis

Objective: This study aims to explore the application of neural stem cells (NSCs) in the treatment of spinal cord injury (SCI) through a bibliometric analysis, identifying global research trends and hotspots in this field to further promote research progress. Methods: The bibliometric analysis was conducted using data from the Web of Science (WOS) database, focusing on literature published between 2000 and 2024. A total of 7010 related documents were retrieved, with 4531 specifically addressing NSCs and SCI. The analysis utilized the VOSviewer data analysis platform and the bibliometric online analysis platform to visualize publication and citation trends, keyword frequencies, and the contributions of various countries, authors and journals to the field. Results: The analysis revealed that the United States leads in SCI research, producing the most related articles, followed by China. Key research themes identified include “central nervous system”, “transplantation”, and “differentiation”. The most prolific journals in this field are the Cell Transplantation and Experimental Neurology, with the highest average citation rates observed in Nature Medicine. Okano H and Univ Toronto are the most influential author and institution, respectively. Conclusion: The bibliometric analysis underscores the growing global attention to SCI research and the importance of NSCs as a promising treatment avenue. Despite the challenges in understanding the SCI microenvironment and achieving clinical translation, significant progress has been made in stem cell preparation, in vitro culture, and differentiation methods. The study suggests that ongoing research and the development of comprehensive treatment strategies will enhance the clinical application of NSCs, offering hope for improved outcomes in SCI patients.

The global landscape of willingness to pay for community-based health insurance research: A bibliometric analysis

This study aims to analyze the global research landscape on Willingness to Pay (WTP) for Community-Based Health Insurance (CBHI) from 2002 to 2024. It seeks to identify key trends, influential contributors, regional disparities, and thematic focus areas, offering insights to guide future research and policy development. A bibliometric analysis was conducted using 354 documents sourced from Dimensions, Scopus, and PubMed. The Bibliometrix package in R Studio, along with the Biblioshiny application, was employed to examine publication trends, citation metrics, collaboration networks, and keyword distributions. Bradford’s and Lotka’s Laws were applied to evaluate journal productivity and author contribution patterns. Data visualizations, including geographical distribution maps and author productivity charts, were used to present findings. The analysis revealed an annual publication growth rate of 10.12%. Ethiopia led in research output (15.8%), while Burkina Faso’s publications were most cited. International collaborations were present in 31.64% of studies, indicating increasing global engagement. Key publishing journals included BMC Health Services Research and PLOS ONE. Influential authors such as Sauerborn R and De Allegri M emerged as central figures in the field. The field of WTP for CBHI is expanding and contributing to the discourse on healthcare financing and equity, especially in LMICs. However, research contributions were regionally skewed, with underrepresentation from South America and Oceania, and a notable reliance on a small group of productive authors. To strengthen CBHI’s potential for achieving universal health coverage, it is crucial to address regional research disparities, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and explore emerging areas such as behavioral economics and technology integration.

Blockchain Application in Food Supply Chains: Bibliometric Analysis and Future Research

This study aimed to organize and analyze studies on blockchain application in food supply chains and to discover emerging research themes and topics using cluster analysis to determine future research directions. Bibliometric analysis was used to organize and analyze the literature on blockchain application in food supply chains. The database consisted of 629 Scopus-indexed articles from 2016 to 2021. These were organized using bibliometric analysis (e.g., annual publication trends) and content analysis (e.g., research method applied). Themes and emerging research trends were then clustered based on keywords using the VOSviewer software. The analysis showed that manufacturing is the type of industry that most applies the blockchain. Trust is the most-cited benefit achieved by blockchain application, while traceability is the most-claimed function. Keyword classification resulted in seven main clusters (e.g., sustainability and transparency) and each cluster had emerging research trends (e.g., resilience toward sustainability and transparency). This research provides an overview of scientific development and emerging application trends related to blockchain application in food supply chains.

Mapping the role of financial management in healthcare: Bibliometric analysis of Middle Eastern region

The study aims to emphasize the importance of financial management within the healthcare sector using bibliometric analysis techniques like influential authors, countries, journals, and publications. The researcher used the Scopus database for the extraction of required data. For this purpose, several relevant keywords and synonyms related to financial management in healthcare were used as advanced search options in the Scopus database. The bibliometric keyword cluster analysis indicated that financial management plays a significant role in health insurance, funding, cost, expenses, financing, and insurance related to healthcare units in Middle Eastern regions. The most influential top 5 countries for research in the financial management of healthcare units in the Middle Eastern region are Iran, Lebanon, Egypt, UAE, and Saudi Arabia respectively. Similarly, the most influential journal in this domain is “Eastern Mediterranean Health Journal published by World Health Organization”. Additionally, the most influential authors in this research domain are Ammar, Walid S from Lebanon, and Rashidian, Arash from Iran. The findings of this bibliometric study are specifically important for practitioners, administrators, and policymakers in the healthcare sector of the Middle East region for making valuable decisions regarding financial management practices.

Is there any association between FinTech and sustainability? Evidence from bibliometric review and content analysis

This study highlights the latest trends in the literature on the relationship between FinTech and sustainability by applying a bibliometric review of documents published in the Scopus database. Bibliometric analysis is a quantitative method that allows researchers to highlight core foundations and recent trends in a specific research field. This analysis was based on trend, evolution, bibliometrics, mapping, and qualitative content analyses. Based on a bibliometric review of 59 papers retrieved from the Scopus database, this study explores the most frequent keywords; the most influential authors, organizations, and countries; the most cited papers; the most co-cited reference papers; and sources. Evolution analysis was conducted using CiteSpace; bibliometric and mapping analyses were performed using VOSviewer; and content analysis was performed using WordStat. The results identified three major clusters: sustainability performance, blockchain technology, and digital transformation. Additionally, the results reveal that the analysis of the association between FinTech and sustainability has experienced increasingly important growth in 2021, reflecting the importance of financial technologies and innovations in business. The findings of this study have implications for Fintech and sustainability research and highlight the importance of Fintech in the development and execution of sustainability strategies and practices, as well as the most relevant research methods. This study provides an overview of how the literature on the association between FinTech and sustainability has developed, as well as a summary of the most influential authors along with countries, organizations, and journal sources. This study offers an opportunity for future research in this field.

How Do We Perceive The Phenomenon of "Co-Parenting"? Do We Share Responsibilities Sufficiently?: A Bibliometric Study

The primary objective of this study is to assess co-parenting research through bibliometric analysis. The documents under evaluationwere sourced from the Web of Science (WoS) database. Initially, 473 studies were were retrieved using keyword "co-parenting". Subsequently, after applying exclusion criteria, a comprehensive bibliometric and content analysis was conducted on the remaining 421 articles. These studies were classified and visually represented based on their characteristics. It was determined that the studies evaluated within the scope of the study were conducted between 1981 and 2023. The analysis revealed that the author with the highest number of publications was O. Cohen and the most productive institution was "University of Toronto". Co-parenting, divorce, parenting, and fathers emerged as the most frequently recurring keywords through co-keyword analysis. Furthermore, the study titled "The internal structure and ecological context of co-parenting: A framework for research and intervention" was identified as the most cited study through co-reference analysis. The study concludes that Paul R. Amato was the most influential author in the co-citation analysis, while Marsha Kline Pruett was the most influential author in the co-author analysis.

Adoption and Applications of Blockchain Technology in Marketing: A Retrospective Overview and Bibliometric Analysis

Blockchain technology has disrupted the traditional approaches of marketing and introduced altogether contemporary marketing frameworks using its unique capabilities of decentralization, security and transparency. In recent times, this technology has attracted both academicians and practitioners to study the underlying processes and opportunities of the application of blockchain technology in marketing. Although there is an increasing deliberation in researching the use of blockchain in marketing, there exists an intermittent gap in holistic overview of the current trends and future boundaries. This article is an attempt to present a comprehensive current state and prospects of expansion in the research of the application of blockchain technology in marketing using state of the art bibliometric review analysis. The bibliometric analysis using 161 articles from Scopus database revealed the influential aspects of research such as prolific authors, influential documents, countries, affiliations, sources and keywords. Moreover, emerging research streams about the application of blockchain is identified and enumerated using network synthesis and visualization of co-citation, and keywords co-occurrence networks. These findings pave the ways for future research expansion. The results shows that the research on applications of blockchain technology has been maturing over time. However, the research streams reveal that blockchain based marketing framework is still in its infancy stage.

The article explores the importance and necessity of developing managerial accounting in agribusiness enterprises in the context of modern economic challenges and changes. Managerial accounting is an integral part of effective management for any enterprise, and in agribusiness, with its specific production and seasonality, it is especially crucial. The article identifies key problems arising from the lack of consistency in cost classification approaches, as well as the absence of a unified standard for managerial accounting and reporting in agricultural enterprises. These issues complicate the adoption of optimal management decisions, particularly in conditions of unstable markets and high price volatility for agricultural products. The structure of costs in agricultural enterprises is analyzed, with special attention given to the calculation of production and distribution costs, as well as identifying costs for specific stages of the production process, such as soil cultivation, sowing, crop care, harvesting, and transportation. The article discusses the diversity of costs, including fixed and variable costs, which contribute to the flexibility in managerial decisions regarding the adjustment of production strategy depending on the current market situation and external conditions. Methods for improving managerial accounting in agribusiness are proposed, focusing on the specifics of agricultural production. These include new approaches to cost calculation and the optimization of financial resources within the enterprise. Various cost calculation methods are used, which allow for precise determination of costs at different stages of the production process, enabling more efficient resource allocation and management. An important aspect is the integration of information technologies into managerial accounting processes, which allows for the automation of accounting processes, reducing the risk of human errors, and significantly improving the accuracy and timeliness of data. The automation of accounting and reporting helps agribusinesses to respond quickly to changes in external conditions and the internal state of the enterprise. This approach not only improves the accuracy of financial forecasts but also optimizes management costs. Attention is given to methods for reducing unit production costs, which is crucial for enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises in a highly competitive agricultural market. Specific strategies for optimizing the costs of production and distribution of agricultural products are proposed, along with advice on the effective use of agricultural resources. Practical recommendations for improving managerial accounting processes are provided, which can help agribusinesses achieve a higher level of efficiency in resource management and production planning. In particular, it is recommended to implement regular updates in accounting systems, enabling quick responses to changes in business conditions. The development of modern managerial accounting is not only a necessary condition for improving management effectiveness but also an important factor in ensuring the sustainable development of the agricultural sector and increasing its competitiveness in the global market.
